"has not helped one situation he has protested at,he actually made it worst and because of him the jury goes the other way..(think about it) Jena six, trayvon and the list goes back way back."
WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – Former Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas blasted civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton in a race-laced rant, claiming he made the incendiary Ferguson, Mo., situation even worse.
Writing in a lengthy Instagram caption, Arenas attacked Sharpton’s reaction to the police shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown in the St. Louis suburb and the riots that are ongoing in the wake of the incident. Arenas’ rant pleaded with Brown’s family to leave Sharpton out of their planned protest, saying that “caesar the monkey” or a “Planet of the Apes” character could get the family better justice.
Arenas’ words similarly criticized Sharpton, the head of the National Action Network, for his involvement in the Trayvon Martin and Jena 6 cases – saying Sharpton made those situations worse.
The now-deleted Instagram photo caption reads: “FAMILiES of the victims pleaseeeeee stop asking #alsharpton to speak or ur behalf, you have a better chance having #caesar the monkey from #planetoftheapes to get justice for you..the stats also show AL (expletive) sharpton has not helped one situation he has protested at,he actually made it worst and because of him the jury goes the other way..(think about it) Jena six, trayvon and the list goes back way back..#AL ur like a #THOT in the club, lookn for attention.”
